PINK Brussels 2024

The fantastic singer PINK is coming to Brussels this summer. She is not coming for the flower carpet, nor to eat Belgian waffles (even though she might eat one), but she is coming to sing and dance in front of more than 50,000 people at the King Baudouin Stadium on July 14. Doesn’t that sound like a fantastic excuse to come to Brussels yourself this summer?

There are lots of reasons for you to visit Brussels. Maybe you don’t care much about waffles, but you still love Belgian chocolate. But, if you don’t care about chocolate or sweets, then you probably love Belgian beer. And if you don’t drink Belgian beer, then you might enjoy discovering the character of Tintin who is hidden here and there as you walk around the streets of Brussels. However, those who don’t care about waffles, chocolate, beer, or Tintin, will still want to come to Brussels to be there at the King Baudouin Stadium on July 14 to enjoy the PINK concert.

If you are unable to be there in Brussels, but would love to watch PINK live, then you might want to travel to Amsterdam where she will perform two evenings in a row on July 10 and July 11.

PINK concert in Brussels 2024

Date: July 14, 2024
Location: King Baudouin Stadium
Tickets: Viagogo (a marketplace for tickets on the Internet)

You can easily travel to the stadium using public transportation in Brussels. If you use the metro, travel with line number six to the end station named King Baudouin. There you can leave the metro and walk to the stadium within a few minutes. The stop before King Baudouin is named Heysel. Doesn’t that name sound familiar? You might remember the tragic Heysel Stadium accident in 1985. It was the European Cup Final match between Liverpool and Juventus, and the tragedy happened as a large group of Liverpool fans breached a fence separating them from a neutral section of the stadium where Juventus supporters were seated. This led to a stampede as Juventus fans tried to escape the oncoming Liverpool supporters. As a result, a wall collapsed under the pressure, causing a significant crush. Tragically, 39 people lost their lives, and over 600 were injured as a result of the incident.

If you attend the PINK concert, you are actually visiting the Heysel stadium (renovated, renewed, and made secure). The stadium, however, got its new name (King Baudouin Stadium) in 1995.

We hope you will enjoy your stay in Brussels and the PINK concert. You can read more about what’s happening in Brussel and the most important attractions and activities in the city here in our Brussels Guide.

Brussels Marathon 2024

Are you ready to discover the city of Brussels while running a marathon? Do you have a bucket list on which running a marathon is a task you still haven’t completed? Why not register for the Brussels marathon and combine a beautiful city with an amazing running experience?

The inaugural Brussels Marathon took place on May 14, 2004, marking the beginning of an annual event that has since become a highlight in the international running calendar. A marathon was arranged in Brussels already in 1984, but it didn’t become a permanent and annual event before 2004.

Over the years, the marathon route has undergone some variations, with organizers occasionally tweaking the course to provide participants with fresh and diverse running experiences. While the start and finish lines often remain consistent, the route may incorporate different neighborhoods, landmarks, and scenic areas of Brussels.

One of the unique aspects of the Brussels Marathon is the opportunity it offers runners to take in the city’s rich cultural and historical heritage. Participants are treated to views of iconic landmarks such as the Atomium, the Grand Place, and the European Parliament buildings, creating a captivating backdrop that adds to the event’s allure. The dynamic route ensures that runners challenge themselves physically and enjoy a visually stimulating journey through the heart of Brussels, making the marathon a memorable and culturally enriching experience for all involved.
